The Heart of Southern Hospitality.
There are many beautiful sights, new and old, to behold in Downtown Greenville. The Westin Poinsett happens to be both. Built in 1925 and brilliantly restored and reopened in 2000, this four-diamond hotel sits proudly Downtown, right on Main Street, just where you'd expect to find one of the true gems of our vibrant city. The campaign that saved the Westin Poinsett from demolition can be attributed to one of Downtown Greenville's greatest strengths: private-public partnerships. These partnerships and the tireless, passionate efforts of the community are vital to Downtown Greenville's ongoing success.
More about the Westin-Poinsett Hotel
“Southern Hospitality makes our hotel rank within the top 10% of all Westins in the U.S. This tells you something about the local work force.”
- Fabian Unterzaucher, General Manager, Westin Poinsett
“I have lived in several major cities in Europe and the US, but have never heard as many people speak French, German, Japanese and Spanish as in the hotel lobby of the Poinsett.”
- Fabian Unterzaucher, General Manager, Westin Poinsett
